About Us

Doggy Farmstay

  • Much, of our earnings go towards funding our work with rescue dogs and other animals. This was, and still is, the primary reason we set up DFS. We would also like to say that as such we are not promoters of breeders or puppy pet shops. Should you, or anyone you know, be looking for a dog, we are more than happy to help, at no charge. We will advise and help you source your new companion from various rescue associations. Contrary to popular belief, rescue dogs are very grateful and are not all problematic. We have many of our own ... I think it's an occupational hazard!

Melody aka Top Dog and pack leader

My team and I are all huge animal lovers and between us, we have quite the collection, generally rescues. When I am overseas I make a point of visiting animal shelters and groups who do animal rescue. I take a suitcase or two dedicated to donations for them. These items are generally medical supplies, jackets, and bedding. As such we are always on the lookout for donations from our clients and friends of any leftover animal supplies as they are greatly needed by the groups I visit. Below are a few pictures of my most recent visit to the Friendicoes SECA shelter in Delhi, India which at the time had over 800 dogs in care and thousands of other farm animals and cats in their care!20 years later and I still love what we do and being able to offer a relaxed happy environment for Sydney's dogs to have a kennel/cage-free holiday. We all look forward to meeting you and your pooch!

How will you and, more importantly, your dog benefit from a stay at Doggy Farmstay?

While most Dog Kennels keep your dog confined for hours a day, at Doggy Farmstay, your dog is free to have the run of the entire 5-acre farm. You can go away on vacation or a business trip, knowing that your dog will be happy with the Farmstay freedom. Your dog will be on holiday while you are. Melody and her amazing team are committed to ensuring that your dog's experience is joyous and free range for the duration of their stay. The farm is fully fenced so your dog will be safe at all times.
Each night the dogs stay indoors, in the comfort and safety of the DFS sleeping quarters. Like a giant sleepover really!
